font-size: large;">Artists Statement - 2011</span></div><div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial Narrow"; font-size: large;">After training in Decorative Arts my practice as an artist has been significantly concerned with stained-glass, stained-glass effect mosaics, glass sculpture and sculpture in clay and mixed media. In this way I have worked on developing my eye for pattern, geometry and colour and my fascination for the concept of translucency. However more recently a longstanding attraction to figurative detail has provoked my return to the discipline of drawing.
